  • 6.0 swap?

The shop I work for pulled a 6.0 out of an 02' chevy 2500 and the cust wants to replace due to a collapsed lifter. This thing looks to be in really good shape; big aluminum heads screaming to be ported out, and I can still see the honing in the cylinder walls. I would like to put it in the camaro and I can have it for the core charge, but I have a few concerns. One being the motor mounts and two being the pcm and harness. Does anyone have a clue as to what pcm I might be able to run, LS1 maybe? Then adapt the wiring to the sensors? I have HPTuners with some credits.

Got to talk with one of the mechanics at our shop and he assured me that we could at least carb it and make an ignition system work. I think I'll go ahead and move forward on this.

I have the 5-speed. idk if I will be able to bolt it on and use it for a while or not. I know it wont hold up for long if it will bolt on.

I did up until last week; spun a cam bearing. I have lots of good parts to sell though. There will be an upcoming for sale thread probably this weekend after I get a bunch of pics of everything.

do a bit of searching on LS1tech...they swap anything and everything over there...you could probably go to a machine shop and have them make you custom mounts...and why not just get a hold of the trucks pcm and wiring harness, and do it like that?

they are putting another motor in the truck, so they probably want to keep it, but you will need a pcm from a truck like it most likely

They are replacing the long block so I gotta come up with another top end.
