ha, well good thing you asked. I forgot about that, My friends dad has a camera that i wanna use. I dont have anything good to take a pic with, PLUs its winter and i never have it clean enough..BUT! this weeekend i should hopefully have something. Its just a silver camaro with black sail panels, mirrors, and some other black accents. Oh and its lowered 2 inches.
Extrude Honing is a process that forces a mix of Silly Putty (seriously) and abrasive material though the port runners. The process is more effective with aluminum than with cast iron. The amount of material removed depends on the grit of the abrasive in the putty and how long the process operates. One differernce between Extrude Honing and conventional porting is that when you Extrude Hone all surfaces of the port are abraided.
SO, on top of that. If i do. HEADERS,cold air intake, heads, exhaust, tune, and Upper and lower intake. Could i get possibly 280?
280 is certainly possible.
I found a guy who will build me a 4l60e to handle 600 hp for 600bucks.
600 bucks eh?
would this as well as a aluminum drive shaft be sufficient?
Yes.
I also want to put Solid motor mounts in.
Don't do it, if you drive in the street. You'll hate the vibration.
Someone said earlier that the 275-hp I quoted for my engine in a previous post was at the flywheel. That's correct. I forgot to say that. Also, that figure is derived, not observed. I take the rear wheel number, divide it by .82 (the factor I use for parasitic driveline losses) and use that for the flywheel power number.
Actually, the number is 280....figuring 229.7 rwhp divided by .82.

I think that wickedsix guy got 277RWHP. But i remember his engine being built like hell.
Yes he had alot into it to pull that wrhp and it wasn't a streetable everyday car, just for 1/4.

hmm yeah im only looking to get about 250 to the tires. Cause we all know that there is a certain barrier that cannot be crossed with a v6..Once if goes past a certain point. (having a v6 no longer had an advantage) due to the fact that your gas mileage is not significantly better than a v8 and has less torque. SO what im saying is. I think its a waste of money to put 10 grand into a v6 because frankly. you wont have any gain on a v8. sure youll have more hp. but gas mileage goes whoop. and DD is now a WC (weekend car) "which is what ls1's are in the first place(most times).
in short. having a v6 is cheap and intertaining.Having a quick 6 is cheap and lovely. Having a FAST v6 too much maintenance and great to drive. Having a monster v6 is deep pockets and impractical.
agreed? everyone??

yea pretty much hahaha. unless you go FI, then you could probably go DD. But there are some shops around me that would do heads/cam/springs for like 1000 if you provide all of the parts. Thats pretty good if you dont feel like doing the labor. Youll get nice gains from all the porting and such but its all useless without tuning.

Disagree, you can tune a turbo V6 to have better or the same gas mileage as a LS1, it's how hard the driver, drives the car. But if you account for V6 insurance over a V8 over 14 years which is what I have a 96' Camaro , paid off in 3 years. Then had 11 years saving on insurance and started modding it when I got it, with appearance mods mostly and in 99' started to do bolt-ons, after it was paid off and the warranty was gone, in the long run I will have spent less buying a V8 and then having more WRHP and TQ than a LS1 or bolt on LS1 when I'm done turboing my V6. Also has better suspension, steering/handleing, interior, appearance mods and gas milage than a stock LS1. So being the orginal owner of my car has paid off over the years. Only mods I will need in the future and what LS1's that are modded, is a built tranny and rear end which is about $4850 which I will do this next year, I look at it as a car payment for this year and make mine more of a safer and reliable DD and a Lt1, LS1 and Mustang eater.LOL
At 22 my insurance for a LT1 would of been $320 , the V6 was $160 half of what I paid , so figure that through the years ,it comes to alot of money. I pay $35 a month in insurance for my car now. If a V8 it would still be almost $75-$90 even now and I have a clean record for over 10 years. I have probably spent 10,000- 15,000 if more throughout the years but thats only about alittle more than $1000 a year which would of been made up from double the insurance for paying for a V8. So basicaly my mods have been paid off , not paying for a V8 and in the end will have paid for my mods and will have more WRHP and TQ than a bolt on LT1 and LS1. Also I still have lifetime warranties on some of my engine parts. So I know alot of V6 owners are not the original owners and some of this doesn't apply but the insurance will def. apply to alot and gas mileage is in the driver not the car most of the time and tuning is the best mod out there. I could have put in a LS2(about $14,000 installed with headers, tub K , HP tuners) instead of doing this turbo build , but I look at it in the end, I will have the same or more than a LS2 I hope and have the extra money for the built tranny and 12 bolt.(about 10,000 for turbo kit ,built tranny and 12 bolt installed) So I saved some money, sorry for the long post , I'm bored.LOL
