Full rebulid but no start?

i finally completed my rebulid on my 3.8l its has the zz performance cam in it with the worked heads and it's bored .30 with full race exhuast and a b&m short throw shifter. but my problem is everything is done went to go crank it over and nothing tried several more times and still nothing. It Builds oil pressure very nicely but nothing. there was a half tank of gas left in the car for little less than a year. i know dumb ***, should have drained it. right. but I checked the spark and there no spark and no fuel going into the motor. Im completely stumped on what it could be. I'm thinking crank sensor but i have no clue. Can anyone help me out id love to have her purr again.

as stupid as this sounds...does your gauge cluster light up? if not, check that fuse in the in car fuse panel...I found out that if you pull the "gauge" fuse or blow it, your fuel pump, spark, nothing works when you turn the key...its dead silent.

I have had it a few times now where I'll be working on something, and the car won't start after and it boggles my mind, turns out its the damn fuse...little 15-25 amper... only God knows why it ends up blowing to...

light cluster works,fuel pump turns on i can hear it. i thought maybe the fuel filter was gunked up,so i replaced it. Still no fuel to the motor. Could the lines be gunked up from it sitting? But then why dont i have spark? thats what ive been asking my self for the last day or two. Keep rethinking everything in my head.

All the sensors plugged in? Sounds like a cam or crank sensor problem.

yes ive went over and over the wiring harness, everything is plugged in. I was thinking the same on the crank sensor. does the sensor touch the crank at all? I mean these sensor have a 110k on them it could very well be going bad. icm not sure what that is. This is my first rebuild of any kind just learning.

ICM is the ignition control module...its that piece that the coil packs sit ontop of, there is a wire that goes to the back of that...easy to just snap the coilpacks back into place and plug the ignition wires in, but forget to hook up the wireing harness at the back of it...

the only thing about the crank sensor, is I can't see why you wouldnt get fuel?

Injectors are sequentially fired. That requires being timed by crank rotation.

well im going to go replace the crank sensor today and ill let you guys know if it starts or not. you guys have been a BIG help to me.

i had the cam in the car before it blew. it would eat first and second gear. but im hopeing to run alot better this time around. i drag it and also trying to get into autocross.

Did you ever get this going? If you changed timing chains: did you put the magnet back in the cam gear?
