I know this is the wrong forum but I didn't get a response in the nitrous forum even though it was view 40ish times but whatever. Well anyway, Do I still need a window switch if I have the rev limiter removed from my 5 speed 3.8 camaro? I know I've heard that if you hit the rev limiter while spraying that the motor goes kablooey. I know the kit I'm getting is micro switch throttle activated and I figured it would stop spraying when I let off the gas to shift right? Is the purpose of the window switch to stop the nitrous a few hundred RPM's before the shift? I'm not really sure how the whole window switch is programmed or whatever. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Like I said before I know this is the wrong forum and I know I'll get flamed but I got no response in the right forum.

Re: question regarding nitrous window switch(I tried nitrous fourm and got no respons
You'll always have a rev. limiter if not you'll end up blowing up the engine. Say for instance you mash it and it gets stuck open for some reaon TB messing up or TB blade stuck open you'll just rev it so high the engine wil blow or something in the engine will blow up. Whats the pont in removing the rev. limiter? Most with built engines and comp OER lifters can't go past 6500-6700 due to something it the programing in the PCM. I have heard of some GTP's going 7000 RPMS will fully built engines. You need to have it dynoed to see where your RPMS start to fall off , then set your Rev. limiter a few hundred below that so no damage is done to the engine, then the if its a digital MSD WOT switch it tells you to set the window switch a few hundred from the top rev. limiter becuase even though your rev. limiter is set at 6000 RPMS it might shift at 6100 sometimes or 5900 sometimes, this way you don't blow up your engine. There are some great stickies in the nitrous section to read up on nitrous componets NOS site , I know I read them all plus going to other sites where they have nitrous info , like the F-body V8 sites or just search the term , I was on mustang , honda, and even truck sites where they explain how setups work. I ran nitrous when I had my M5 and A4 started with 75-150 shots some dry and some wet. Good luck08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
