Actually got a chance to throw a gauge on the rail last night, and I have over 100psi of fuel pressure at 'key on' and running. What is everyone using to regulate? I have stock V6 fuel lines, filter, fuel tank. I have a Walbro GSS-341 pump in a v8 bucket in the tank, and stock ls1 fuel rails. I need something cheap and fast!

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulation
I've looked at keeping the V6 fuel lines when I do my conversion, 3 different ways.
1) Use a 97 Corvette LS1 fuel rail. They were the only LS1's with a fuel rail mounted FPR with a return. Very hard to find and very expensive if you do.
2) Use an aftermarket fuel rail and FPR with adapters to connect to the stock fuel lines.
3) Use the F body LS1 tank bucket and single fuel line from the conversion car. The fuel line T's around the rear floor and returns to the tank where the FPR is in the bucket.Last edited by bigbrian442; 07-02-2010, 11:57 AM.sigpic

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulation
I thought there was another way to add a fuel pressure regulator and Viper did a writeup on it , I think it was in the FI section, used a MSD one if I remember correctly.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulation
Yeah, thanks, well aware of that. However, there is currently no fuel returning to the bucket because LS1's have a different set of fuel lines, and returnless rails. So if you could explain, how a regulator, that sees no fuel, can regulate, I'll give you a dollar.www.fullthrottlev6.com
www.chitownracing.com

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulation
Well, it all starts with gas then it moves in to a line ans then the FPR handles it from there, I'll PM you my paypal addy. LOL Someone said to use a Corvette fuel rail with a FPR on it , I know you know what you need to do, I think, since the ideas were already brought up. Or how about a inline I think after the fuel filter? just throwing it out there.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulation
You didn't explain it. No dollar for you. I'll take pics when I get it done, but what im fixin to do is.
Mount Corvette Fuel Filter directly to my stock 99 LS1 Rail. Run return into return hard line under hood. Replace V8 fuel bucket top hat with V6 fuel bucket top hat. Problem solved. Cheap, effective, and easy.www.fullthrottlev6.com
www.chitownracing.com
