ok after dissambling my car and putting it back together I cannot get it to start for the life of me. I have all the sensors connected(except the one on the alternator wiring harness) can't figure where that goes for the life of me. Also the ground cable in the back of the driver head block isnot connected. When I put the negative cable on the battery it burst a spark and almost shocked me. Should I just take it to a mechanic?

^This is correct. Also make sure you get that ground hooked up, i beleive that that ground has to do with the ign. module. so i can only imagine what kinda crazy crap would happen without it. Also what did you do as far as disassembly? what had you taken off and put back on, i ask so i can get an idea of what may be causing this.Daily: '02 Black Yukon Denali

Re: car wont start
I replaced the head gaskets but I had help from my dad.(mechanic for 35 years) I did most of the work, which explains it not starting lol. Someone told me it might be a pinch in a hot wire somewhere or it might be the VATS(highly doubt it). Also my ignition coils are labeled (1,4)(5,2)(1,4) I have no idea why it's like this. Read online it might be to disable vats? I don't know and I just want to get this thing started. It was running fine before I took it apart(aside from the INTAKE leak, not GASKET) so I did the heads for nada.

I would disagrre about the vats idea. I would start with getting that ground connected first then double check all your electrical connections. Reason being that a "floating ground" can cause all sorts of trouble. Also if you can you can try getting any DTC's if any are being thrown.Daily: '02 Black Yukon Denali

Re: car wont start
Lol well like an idiot I had the OBD tool plugged in on my car while connecting the battery ground and I smelled something burning. Sure enough it was the OBD tool and it got fried. One of the connector pins stayed stuck on my car connector lol.
