Yeah but when you have no patience and is anxious to get it running, you overlook things. I know it's my fault.
Hopefully it won't end up costing you any money though. Those are the mistakes that are nice to learn from: the one's that have a good lesson taught but don't come at a large price.
As for it being the VATS, wouldn't the "security" light be a dead give away for that?
Vats the light might come on , but if the BCM is fried then no it wouldn't. My Vats went out and my security light didn't come on, I ended up replaceing my whole steering column with a used one and the BCM that matched the steering wheel.
