As some of you may remember I recently had my motor rebuilt and while i was at it i added a lot of extras. My question is this, will it be safe in terms of breaking in the motor to be running 34# injectors on a tune that was meant for stockers? I ask because i need to know if i am going to end up breaking it in on the dyno or if i can do it at home before i go for a tune. Will running that rich during Brerak in lead to issues, I.E. glazing over the piston walls and washing out the rings. This is on an '02 camaro. I really need some help on this one.

Re: Engine break-in with 34# injector question...
itll start itll blow black smoke and as long as you tell the computer its got 34 pounders in sure the pcm will change it around enough for you to be able to drive it to tune it...

Re: Engine break-in with 34# injector question...
well it will run way rich as it thinks it has the smaller injectors in there. So yes I would be worried about washing out due to the excess fuel. A fresh engine, I wouldn't chance it, get a tune in it first

Re: Engine break-in with 34# injector question...
I wouldn't run it that rich if your breaking it in , might as well pay for HPtuners or even PCM for less tune to be safe. All that fuel isn't good for the rings, plus the backfires you might get.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
