sure people have done it and since you have the donor car, that will make life a lot easier as you can take everything from the donor car instead of piecing it together
http://www.tacreationsusa.com/engine_swaps.htm this website should help. Also, plan on swapping the AC system under the dash, the guage cluster from a 97z(because thats the only year that had the 97-up dash and had an LT1 cluster, PCM, ENGINE harness, Kmember, TransKmember, transmission, Fuel lines, the ABS and cruise box had to be swapped out on mine, hmm and maybe the body harness because youre going from OBD1 to OBD2. I did a swap in a 96v6 camaro to a 96LT1 engine and trans.
I assume you want to keep the newer style dash in your 99v6, if thats the case it makes me wonder if you have to stay with OBD2, since your 94Z is OBD1 I dont know if the 99 OBD2 body harness will work well with the OBD1 engine harness. I'd look into that.
Thats all I can think of right now. There's more. Mine was pretty direct cuz I stuck with the same year Lt1 car as my v6 car.
you could always get a 99 Z28 or ss to put in that V6 you got and sell me the 94 for $5
j/k
as long as you carry over your harness I don't see an issue trial and error on the gauges though. One more thing check the ABS on your new car make sure its got the same number ofsensors on the rear end as you have now

doubtful...lol
I got a 550hp 383 stroker and a built T56 with 4.10's with complete suspension and ebony leather. if you want the car...we can work it out...it will come with the 99 v6 K member and the 3.08 rear end. I will even throw all the wiring and dash in if you are serious...but for a bit more than 5 bucks. lol
