motor with vs cam problems

ok i just put a fresh motor and tranny in my car and ive been trying to tune it. its got a vs cam, jp single timing chain and 90# springs. when i scan the motor i get knock reading but only in wot power band (3600-6000k) not b4 at all even at 90% throttle, only 100%. also itll be there sometimes and not others but it tends to do it at /around shift piont 1-2, 2-3 and itll hold the knock reading through the gear. but i dont get it at all winding out 1st gear to red line. ive tried retarding the timeing dumping in more fuel, and advanceing the timeing whiched seemed to help but same result. if any one could give input it would be greatly appriciated. thx

oh and when i say knock reading i mean a 15.... yea not good but idont hear anything and people dont out side the car either

thats what im thinking well i hope. i was reading on hptuner forum and some one said if the sensors go bad they throw crazy **** out. the sensors on the motor look very aged cause they are the originals also they sat outside for awhile, im getting blocks of knock its not smooth itll go from 0 to 15 in one frame

You shoudn't have any KR with the VS cam , I ran it with no tunning with the powerdyne for 2 years with no problems/ Its one of the most streetable cams you can install without setting off codes. So something is messing it up. Did you install the timing chain straight up or did you advance it any when you put it in?

straight up i had a friend help me that rebuilds motors for a living just in case we dialed it in and every thing

Have you messed with any of the tunning functions like KR decay or anything like that? Also any exhaust leaks or anything vibrateing agaisn't the engine?

on thursday im going to my local tuning shop (50) miles away. i know the guy he was my efi tuning teacher and hes gunna help me out. ive gone through everything i can think of so ill tell you how it goes
