Best/cheapest horsepower

I recently bought a 94 camaro with a 3.4L v6 and im debating wether i want to swap for a v8 or beef up the v6. i know all to well that with a v8 swap everything needs to be changed, but i want to push 350 to 400 horse. whats the best way if i went with the v6 to get this kinda of horse power with out a turbo or supercharger. Thanks

You would have to do a radical nitrous setup. I would hold off and wait for a v8 swap or a turbo.

i would do the v8 swap.

a 400hp v8 is gonna sound 100 times better than a 400hp v6.. and be a ton more streetable also

I think it depends on how much he can do himself, labor would be the most expensive cost of the build. I would rather have a 400 HP V6 than a 400 HP V8 but thats just me. Less to chop up and less redoing of wiring. Unless you do a SBC and wire in some gauges for speed , oil PSI , fuel etc.

Heads cam turbo.

No alternate heads, no alternate intakes and very few cams.

Save for a swap, because getting 350-400 HP is very very expensive and would make the engine unreliable for all the money that was put into it. It'd be fun in the end, but the engine just can't take it for very long. V8 swap would serve you much much better in this scenario. I gotz a 3.4, and after spending about $1000 bucks into it, and getting less than 75hp more, I'm just burnt out.

Where did you say SBC? LOL J/K , I would still build a turbo engine, its not loud and its stealthly so when you blow the doors off a V8 and he asks what you have in it he can crap his pants and take the shame drive back home. LOL

If that was the case their wouldn't be a V6 site, theirs guys with properly set up turbos dynoing over 400 WRHP with stock engines, thats 480 HP so I'll stay with my little V6 , I would choose a 9mm over a .45 also , if you can't put someone down in 2 shots , 1 to the body, 1 to the head then run becuase either their not human or you can't shoot worth a damm and you shouldn't be there. LOL hahaha

a nitrous kit that gives you 75-100hp is <$500, so you fail. :p
