Getting the most horses out of a 3.8

i was just wonting to know what all i could do to get more horses out of the 3.8l, i already know i am geting the gt2 cam,105# springs, spring retaners,lifters,rollmaster timeing set(double),custom cold air,cat delete,headers,already have magnaflow cat back. and i dont wanna do a turbo either and i dont wont a v8 i wont to see how much power i can get out of this v6:banana:

well i have heard about nitrous blowing up engines and etc.can you point me to a good system and would i need to do anything else to make sure it dosent blow up

I have all the same cam swap parts sitting in my room, im going to p&p the heads and intake also next spring. Nitrious ftl, turbo ftw. Why dont you want to boost it?

Most HP would be turbo kit , but nitrous would be the cheapest to like over 300 WRHP , turbo with all the good mods = money will get you over 400WRHP.

well how many horses do yall think i would get by putting in gt2 cam,105# springs, spring retaners,lifters,rollmaster timeing set(double),custom cold air,cat delete,headers.

and i am sure with all those mods i can change to maybe the super 10 series cause from what i heard with the gt2 the raspy weedeater sound goes away

and someone needs to start a bussiness for makeing turbo kits for camaros and not charging $4000 cause they mostly charge for labor

Lol gotta pay to play. Not enough demand for mass produced kits and multiple companies so you gotta take what you can get or make your own parts here in our small v6 community.

haha i agree with that like my uncle said when you can get the front tires off the ground you start breaking stuff and you have to have the money to replace those parts,he had a 69 camaro and a chevelle.

but can any on tell me the horse power gain from those mods and is the any other bolt on that will give me more horses like rocker arms,etc?

you shouldent need rockers but maybe 30 hp? but itll wake up the motor so it may not be much but it feels completly different

Also I think you'll need a new timing cover (or need to space it) for the double roller. Or something like that...I always fricken forget.

If your thinking about doing some spray...i would really look at the abbott cam or a custom ground one.

okay well i dont think ill do nos my car is for a daily driver to school but after i am out of school i probably will do a ls1 swap.

and GO TO ADFAB DESIGN.com they have some of the coolest gauge pods for camaros.

pretty soon my car will have a very similar setup to yours and ill let you know what my car dyno's at (should be within 2 weeks).

If your thinking about doing a v8 swap "after school" (trust me i know what that means!) then why do anything to the engine now, you are just wasting money. if your doing this now then just add the turbo later, or add a wet kit later. Just wouldn't make sense to do this work to this engine if you dont intend on keeping it to me.

Not sure what all else you have done to the car, but things like gears and nice set of tires and suspension can really help you get some lower times in the 1/4 if thats what your looking for. if its overall hp then just put a v8 in now... but thats no fun ;-)
