Re: GTP motor into a 1997 Camaro
lol, yea ok. Go ahead and set a weekend aside and get r done. No biggy, its a 10 hr job. :)
As for doing stuff nobody has done before, I have, I am running a holden manifold setup, definitely something different. oh yea, and two stages of nitrous, so I have 200+ hp on tap when I hit the switch.
As for FI setups I have researched them all but turbos, I have made a powerdyne kit for the 3.8s, kit was on my brother's 99 bird and now resides in a camaro in Colorado. Working on a procharger kit now as my next experiment with FI. I have had my hands on a holden blower elbow and know it doesn't work unless you hack your firewall.
So please don't come in here asking about a setup then get your panties in a bunch because you realize your soulmate was wrong about it being a simple bolt on swap. We were just warning you and no we are not just sitting behind a keyboard saying stuff. We have seen plenty try, plenty give up, and a handful actually go through with them. In the end the power numbers aren't worth the trouble and headaches that go into making it work.
Be willing to listen and learn, instead of flipping out on people that are trying to help you and keep you from starting something you would regret and just sink too much money into. I guess the people here should just hold the knowledge in and let noobs struggle and learn the hard way if we are going to get treated like you treated us when we tried to help you.
Goodbye, I am done with you
