Ok, Im going to try and rebuild my top end of my 3.4 for the second time. Any pointers or suggestions anyone wants to give me? I was leaking coolant into my cylinders so I tore it down and replaced every gasket all the way up. It is still leaking coolant into the cylinders. I either did it wrong or maybe a cracked or warped head? The car never overheated, so what are the chances of a head problem?

Re: Top end rebuild again
well when you take the heads off to redo the top end, send them to a machine shop and have them cleaned and then checked for leaks and see if the heads are warped at all. Might be looking at $100 or so but that way you can eliminate them as a possibility if everything checks out good.

Re: Top end rebuild again
Read your gaskets when you remove them. Try not to rip them when you pull them off. If you were leaking coolant somewhere it should show up on the gasket or sealing surface. Clean out all threaded holes and lubricate before assembly. Make sure you torque everything down in the proper sequence and use new cylinder head bolts. And as mentioned have the heads checked for warpage.

Re: Top end rebuild again
Ok guys I know Im an idiot. I had everything written down as far as what plugs into what, but I went into my garage this weekend and the guy that shares the garage with me had cleared all his stuff out and I cant find what I had my notes written on. So I got some questions. This is the temp sensor correct?
This is on the block right in front of the lower intake manifold. Im guessing this the cam positioning sensor? Does anyone know what this connects to and where its at?
Does anyone know what this is for and what it connects to? I dont even remember unplugging this. I must have ripped this out when I was pulling something out. Possible vacuum line, could this be why my A/C only blows out the defroster no matter what setting I have it on?
Any assistance yall have will be great.
Thanks
