oil pressure?

is it normal for the oil pressure gauge to go up under hard acceleration? but comes back down when you push the clutch in? i think its wierd. but any suggestions? any reason/ideas why the oil pressure would go up?

yep completley normal. be glad it does too. with increased speed in moving engine parts more oil is required to keep them lubricated.

it should go up to 60psi or so i think expecialy with a cold eninge

on the gauge is is it middle marker or where? im just trying to figure out all of that stuff
should i put a oil pressure gauge on the car?

you have an eletric sender to the guage in your cluster which is best as long as it works. the needle should be pointing straight up under throttle right in the midle of the guage. you can install a machanical guage if you want. but it seems kinda dumb to me unless your oil sender goes out first or you have a reason too

ive had my engine up to 70 psi before and at idle its at 37
