Ive already clamped down the 0.045s lol...and as far as I know a total of 0.01 has been taken off the heads...the lift is still .512 on the cam...I dont see why this should be an issue...but apparently my machinest thinks that I should have a minimum of 120 thou without the headgasket even being in place (which you cant even measure because our pistons come above hte deck)

**** so according to an article I read...minimum clearance should be 0.100...apparently i measured wrong to...we put the clay on the valve itself, rather than the piston because we thought the clay may have been preventing the motor from turning (infact it was we were doing it without a headgasket, and the piston was hitting the head itself.

Are you using factory rockers and not aftermarket? I say this so a valve doesn't hit the piston. Also I just looked mine are .060 MLS gaskets not even opened from ZZP.

They are factory rockers...but remember the new cam has more duration 230/240... If I go with thicker gaskets, I would most likely just go back to felpros...if you turn the motor over by hand it cranks fine...doesn't hit...I'm just worried about if I over rev, etc etc etc...

ok so Ive been referring to this article for info http://www.carcraft.com/howto/116_07...nce/index.html

Just wondering what the difference is between depth, and the radial measurements?

Also, what is meant when people talk about "quench"

lol...yupp...shes back on the road as of today. I'm still nervous about the clearances...especially because I learned now that I should of used a solid lifter, and I used a hydraulic one...so, ya...just a little nervous...
