      WHO here thinks i can run 9.1 compression with 15 lbs of boost? or even ten. with the same horspower gains as of a motor with 8.1 with 15-20 lbs.
      I run 14psi stock L26, no problems.

      I run autolite 103's.

            NGk's either TR6 or TR7 depending on boost, I ran 9:5.1 diamond forged pistons at 10 PSI no problem. NO2Equip had the same pistons and ran 10 PSI and hit low 11's in the 1/4 mile. This is with a turbo though. I would say don't go past 10:1 compression an you'll be good, all depends on tunning and watching KR. If you leave the factory plastic oil tube on , you shouldn't have oil coming out the breather, after blocking off the PCV.

                PCV = positive crankcase ventilation
                It has nothing to do with the pcm.

                  the pcv ventilates the crankcase, there is a ton of pressure inside of the engine, for instance in the oil pan.. basically it re-burns anything that gets passed the rings

                  i see people get rid of their pcv system all of the time, and it is the dumbest thing ever, it causes the oil to get dirty quick, causes the rings to be pressed up against the cylinder wall, which causes a ton of wear on the engine.

                  drag racers will bypass it, either with a pump, or by just bypassing the valve and rerouting it to the exhaust.

                  when i broke in my engine i took the pcv system out so i could get the rings to seat because i couldnt drive the car, but smoke was pouring out of the valve cover breather.. not something you want

                        There is a small hole inside the main air passage of the throttle body that feeds fresh air to the pcv valve. If this is not blocked off when you go forced induction it will literally pressure up the inside of the engine. I initially did not block mine when I put my powerdyne on, and all of a sudden Ive got a valve cover leaking and a lower intake manifold leak. This is what people are referring to when they talk about flying dipsticks. If you unbolt the throttle body you can see the fresh air port on the back of it. You can get an assortment of plugs from autozone or equivalent. Just run a tap into the hole, put some pookey on the plug and thread it in there from the backside. I then drilled an additional hole from the side of the throttle body into this pcv air passage and threaded the hookup for my boost gauge into it.

                            It's not a sensor, it's a check valve. Look on the
                            passenger side of the upper intake. It's under the
                            metal plate.

                              All I can say is I hope you have someone who has built a 3800II engine up before becuase your going to run into alot of problems I foresee if your doing it yourself.
