On the LIM I have to redo the Valleys in red or blk since the blue gave way. Now I did this job in May so im curious if thats all im doing can I just lift up the LIM redo the valleys and put it back togetha. Without replacing the actual LIM Gaskets? Because if so ima just grab a tube of red and do it all today. Since the red can seal up everythings I won't have to buy a kit or mess with the whole valve lash thing... oh yeah engine is a 3.4L

have a 3.4 also....i used the ultra black on mine and it has been fine....i know you said you did this in may and the blue gave away but how do you know its not the gasket?? also..i think you should just take the whole thing off...and i doubt you have to mess with the whole valve lash thing again...and you shouldnt have to change the oil once nothing your careful and nothing at all gets in there....i did mine carefully and quick and made sure nothing got in and didnt have to change my oilComment

my gasket kit same with some black rtv, i would just use that.
the reason why you should change the oil after is because dirt and crap gets in it, doesnt really have anything to do with adjusting the valves.
i would also replace the gaskets again.Comment
