As some of you may know im going to be starting an engine build and i just got the engine out of the car and tore down a bit and have found the broken piston, and Rod. I am going to be taking the block into the shop to have it cleaned and looked at if it looks good im going to have the shop hone, bore and build the lower end. Here are some pic. for the removel and broken piston. Hope you enjoy my bad luck.
Ouch! Looks like you have driveway sealent in your top end.
Tell me you have the 2 by 8 ceiling joists of your garage/above subflooring holding up your car...
I have 4x4 beams up there, and the car had oil changed every 3000 miles so i dont understand how the valve train got so gunked up, oh well im going to start fresh and build a fast street engine, im not looking to take it to the track so if anyone has any input on what i might want for a fast street engine that would be great. Ill keep up with the update as i continue my build, im going to need alot of help but im exited to start
Take a look at my thread and I had the same issue. Previous owner put 60K miles on it in 2 years (texas car too). I'm willing to bet they skimped on the oil changes. I changed my oil every 3k with synthetic.

Ok, here's my issues. 1. That oil was never changed anywhere near 3000 miles. If you can't see that, please just put a stock engine back in the car because you have no clue what is going on. 2. Why modify if you're not going to take it to a track. I know it sounds like fun to spend all this money and have a cammed v6, but it's not. You'll get tired of chasing issues and fixing broken parts. Not to mention that it really sucks to deal with all this crap on a daily driven car. I'd stop, take a step back and re-evaluate your goals. A fast street car does not involve a Series II V6.
