Re: FIFTY THOUSAND miles on a project car motor...Whoa!

Nice write-ups Hib , everyone has their own opinion, I'm still on a single after my motor rebuilt in Dec. 02, and about 60,000 miles through it. That including PD at 8-11 PSI , Nitrous shots wet ,dry 100-150 and its still sounding great even with Comp O-ER lifters wwhich arenot too loud. Keeps us updated. Hib do weight reduction it really does work my QA-1's were worth it , same goes for K member. Good luck.

^Tubular K-member and QA1's on my car too. I'd probably recommend light interior modifications like lighter sound insulation and lightweight carpet. Pay attention to the ounces and the pounds fall away :)

Also running a single chain, so far so good.

Where you getting the tubular K-member?

I settled on the double adjustable QA1s, a 600 lb/in spring in front, a 130 lb/in constant rate spring in the rear and stock FE3 stabilizer bars.

As for lightening up the interior...well...you're more of a hardcore racer than me, I think. I like my Monsoon sound system and will take the acoustic insulation in favor of my music.:dj:

Are yoou doing the 300lb per side springs for the front? Thaats whats on mine and there great, for the rear I went with 1LE 130-170lb progressive springs and QA-1 shocks and they work well with the 1LE 21mm rear sway.

Yeah, didn't spring for any tubular A-arms as our roads are brutal.
