If you want to get technical, it's driven by the crank snout. :D;) LOL
It is is built into the front cover. You would have to take the front cover off, not hard just time consuming. and replace the worn pump gears and pump cover. I would suggest buying the oil pump kit from ZZP. Also don't forget to pack the pump with petroleom jelly before replacing the oil pump cover. This will help to reduce time that it takes for the new pump to prime and will reduce inital wear on the new components.
