I can vouch for that I had a turbo with a .60 A/R compressor and a .48 A/R turbine and it spooled quick but it chocked the engine in the long run when I upgraded to a Clone Gt30 garrett turbo it spooled higher in the rpm band but game me more power than the small turbo

I vouch for InsaneABOT. LOL I would believe what he says about the turbo , thats what was explained to me when I bought my GT35R turbo 70 COMP. with a .63 A/R.

Do the rear mounted turbos work? It seems like alot of extra piping and it would lag really bad to me. I like that they're so much easier though. So, if they do work and Unique wants a turbo setup, that would be the best bet IMO. Plus, the turbo sound is just so freaking loud on those. Its sexy lol.

This is starting to go into FI section , too bad I don't know how to move it. But You should really post this in FI if wanting to look into rear mount turbo kit. LIke STS Turbo Kits.

For a 3800....front facing headers or under K are the way to go. Rear mount is just not going to outperform a FFH setup, especially on these cars.

I think the tranny should, might have to modify a bracket, http://forum.camarov6.com/showthread...ght=tranny+fit

and im pretty sure you'll need the 97 pcm, if not for the motor definitely to tune for the turbo. the rest im not sure.

Your going to need to swap PCMs to 97' tunable , upper/lower, TB's since your basicly doing a short block swapping over, log style should work fine since headers do and the heads are all the same from 96-02 except in mid 98' they got a better casting # 4177 so I would use the 01' heads. This should answer all your questions, anymore turbo talk needs to go in FI. Also no more caps like "MY" your asking a question be polite and ask another one if you didn't understand or the quetion wasn't answered fully. Patience comes in handy now and then.

awesome so just swap over the whole intake manifold or just the throttle body. and do you know if the trans will bolt right up?

1996-2002 M5 and A4's bolt right in except doing a A4 to M5 conversion then you have to cut the M5 outter brackets so the A4 mounts up, this is what I had to do, I'm running a 02' A4 in my 96' right now I had to get a A4 harness and wire it into the PCM harness but it was easy. If staying with the same trannny iy should all bolt up.
