Okay, so im really tired of the poor streetability of the car since going up to the GT2. Car almost dies when coming to a stop, and often does. It's gotten to the point where I have to double foot it all the time. It has been tuned, but with that said HPtuners doesn't give you a lot of options for idle trims ('02 DBW car) like on the LS1's so this is really screwing me. I have spent hours on the dyno trying to straighten this out. Many of you know I have a powerdyne on the car now. Obviously the GT2 is less than ideal for this so I have decided to swap cams once again. I am trying to decide between the VS cam and the X-P HOT cam.
Steve, I know you have had good luck with the VS cam. How was it to tune, streetability?
As far as my top end goes I have 1.7 rockers and the guides have been cut down. I just dont want to run into tunability issues once again. Is the lift that I am running and will run killing me here? I was more convinced that it was the LSA and intake/exhasut centerline. I figured this because that was really all that changed when i went from the GT1 to the GT2 as lift is the same. Plaese any input would be great.
