2002 3.8L swap to 1995 3.8L

hey guys its been awhile..

hope everyone is coool. :wavey:

well back to my question ... (ive searched & research & no luck)

i came across a complete 2002 3.8l complete minus the transmission with 75,xxxx miles .

it has the wiring harness and PCM for $200. and im JUST CURIOUS ...

if i were to someday consider swapping that semi low mileage engine into

my 'old 1995 3.8 would it bolt up to the 1995 automatic transmission ?

would it be a direct swap or what are some contributing factors or parts i would need ?

swap the upper intake and TB over, and it should be a direct swap. The upper intake is angled on the 95's, and the TB is cable driven on your car.

The 99+ upper intakes are straight, and the TB is electronically driven.

im doing this in about a month lol. Yes just swap the engine not the pcm or wiring.. Use95-97 upper intkae manifold and TB.

hey another thing out you have to swap its the fuel rails to cause the 98-02 fuel rails are higher or something.

Hell yea, buy that mofo. You might run into a few SMALL problems but that should always be expected. Id say buy it and when you get the time, Swap it

same into my 98 maro. no problems with the swap. just a few accesories shift positions and then i had to paint the thing blue...
