ok so i have a 95 3.4l, and sometimes the car wont start. the motor has a very strong crank, but wont turn over... then sometimes it does turn over i drive around with no probs then out of nowhere it stalls and wont turn on again. No codes, thought it was my fuel filter or pump, changed both and nothing thought it was my crank position sensor changed and still no fix any ideas??? i have full msd wired installed by pro so spark dosent seem like an issue

Re: Huge Headache
Hows the battery? No dead cells or anything. Reason I ask is because my Optima took a crap on me , would start fine but when I floored it it shut off all power to everything, installed aa yellow Optima battery and fixed the issue. The red top I had I noticed when it lost power it was extremely warm on 1 side to the touch, this was just after starting it and going a half mile and it died.Last edited by ssms5411; 05-21-2011, 09:53 PM.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Huge Headache
I'm not sure if that year has ignition relays, but on my '99 3.8L I was having a similar problem, turned out to just be a bad ignition relay. I swapped it with my radiator fan relay to check it since they are the exact same, and the car fired up every time.

Re: Huge Headache
My horn switch got bypassed last year as it shorted out and got stuck in the on position at 2am at my mechanics. I now have a button for a horn on the dash - it looks like a doorbell. (Not my choice - just wanted to get the car on the road)96 White M5 Camaro. Manual everything. Magnaflow cat, dynomax dual outlet axle back. Swapped to a disc rear with 3.42s and a torsen differential, kyb gr2 rear shocks, moog rear endlinks.
