Re: Milling heads
.030 is about max , butlike suggested a thinner gasket or new pistons would be good. I had my heads milled around .015 but my forged pistons are 9.5:1 instead or 9.4:1.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Milling heads
.060 would be extreme , I would play it safe and do .020 at max then use a thinner MLS gasket .045 then you can always use JE pistons at 9.9:1 and be about 10.1 compression.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Milling heads
Hes talking about this post: Stock Cam in the 8's... 1/8 Mile
he says compression is around 10.25:1 but doesn't say anything about pushrods or gasket thickness.

He'll def need more than milling the heads...08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Milling heads
I think that is about 9.8:1 compression, I'm using MLS gaskets for the first time and they seal perfect. I'm using .065 thickness, as long as you follow the directions on how to install them they are outstanding and pretty easy to do. You need to have the guides done to run extra lift. I had to with the VS cam and 1.7 proomags.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
