How much can i mill my heads to raise compression? And will it effect what pushrods i need.

Running a thinner head gasket would be easier and cheaper. If you run a high lift cam you could run into valve clearance issues. Im not sure how much you can take off the head though.

.030 is about max , butlike suggested a thinner gasket or new pistons would be good. I had my heads milled around .015 but my forged pistons are 9.5:1 instead or 9.4:1.

I read on one of the forums that someone milled thier heads .060 for a comp of 10.4:1. But now i cant find it.

.060 would be extreme , I would play it safe and do .020 at max then use a thinner MLS gasket .045 then you can always use JE pistons at 9.9:1 and be about 10.1 compression.

he says compression is around 10.25:1 but doesn't say anything about pushrods or gasket thickness.

He'll def need more than milling the heads...

I heard that the MLS gaskets are hard to get to seal? what about milling .024 and a .045 gasket. would that take me to around 10.1:1? Also i am running a GT2 cam with 1.7 rockers.

I think that is about 9.8:1 compression, I'm using MLS gaskets for the first time and they seal perfect. I'm using .065 thickness, as long as you follow the directions on how to install them they are outstanding and pretty easy to do. You need to have the guides done to run extra lift. I had to with the VS cam and 1.7 proomags.
