I have a 97 Camaro with a bad engine and have bought a 2000 Firebird (rolled) with a good engine. I see that the sensors on the air intake are different and the intakes are also different. What do I need to do to use this later engine in the Camaro? Do I just change the intakes? This is my first Camaro by the way. Both cars have an AT. Thanks, old British car guy in NC.

Re: 2000 Firebird to 97 Camaro 3.8 engine swap
its pretty simple. once you get both engines out then you can see whats different. I think its just intake and exhaust, but don't quote me on that. I swapped in a series 3 out of a 08 lucern, that was a pain in the butt!Team NoVa
2000 Firebird- Intake, Pacesetters, !cat, full 2.5 to flowcrapster, 1.9 rockers, LS6 springs and Intense modded retainers, WS6 speedlines, T/A bumpers and hatch, 5 spd swapped, SOON TO BE nitrous'd and cammed.
