I going to replace my rocker bolts tommorow since i reused them after redoing the head gaskets. My question is when installing the bolts do i need to rotate the cranck to bring the piston to tdc so theres no extra pressure on the bolts or can i just torque them all down at once?

    Re: installing rocker bolts

I always did mine all at once with no issues, the other way is good practice...I think you mean BDC though...takes alot longer to do it that way

I believe this is only required on the 3.4's (going to TDC).

On my 3.8 I torqued them all at once , used Comp reusable bolts, never had a problem.

Oh good.. I was worried about that a long time ago. Thought I had lifter tick too but it was and still is just an exhaust leak.
