how much hp gain are u getting out of that cam? i want to cam my 2000v6 camaro also but im on a budget of 1000 bucks.

I think with a good tune 20-30 to the wheels so like 23-35 at the crank, not real sure

well they are v6s , but again im only 18 in high school and a part time job. so turbo for the future i mean way future lol.

gears, stall(if auto), spray it. 100 shot ^ if thats the budget

turbo/cam will be more expensive then spray.

if ima do gears i might as well get a new rear end off a z28 id rather spin both than one tire. and cam is in the budget around 400 for the cam 200 install

QUESTIONS:
Heres some of my questions
1. With those 105# valve springs, will the stock retainers work ok. If not, Wheres a link of the ones I should get.
2. Ive been thinking about pushrods. Do I really need them?
Sorry for such the long post I just want to make sure I have everything Id need

I would get some Comp pushrods for the piece of mind, 5/16 and ZZP modded retainers they use stock locks but buying some Comp locks might be a good idea in case you lose 1 or 2. Everything else looks good.

No.

Price of gaskets, valve spring and a new timing chain make that price go way up. And no mechanic I know would do a cam on a 3800 for $200. It's easily 5-6 hours labor.

What you should do, is maintenance. (LIM gaskets, spark plugs, wires, valve cover gaskets, UIM gasket, TB gasket, O2 sensors, T-stat, new coolant, new trans fluid, maybe even headgaskets depending on mileage) Then you can do gears, intake and headers.
