i didnt read the thread, but where did you get the lsx block?
i am considering buying one, but i am still unsure if i want to go with the lsx block or just get a steel lq4
I'm not going with an actual LSX block - sorry for the mis-conception - the reason I put LSX in the title was "X" is a hybrid of the LS1 as I'm either going with a 4.8L or 5.3L and later making a low compression 383 stroker out of it with light weight internals / heads / cam / and procharging. Since its technically not an LS1 I didn't really know what to put...
Now as far as the real LSX block is concerned, we're talking a difference of almost 100 CI .. What is that a 7.2L vs a 6.0L? The LSX Block costs 9 times that of an LQ4 block, sure it has plenty more potential... but is it worth 9 times the price difference for just the block and heads alone? L92 Heads and a moderate cam on a LQ4 will bring down 500 HP all day - procharging and you can see probably 750 HP...Turbo and the sky is the limit... sooo my honest opinion - the LQ4 block is the way to go.
or make 100hp+ on a pretty much stock 4.8 hahaha truck motors love boost!
Yeah I was thinking of turbo'ing the 4.8L in the future - or Procharging. I don't know where they mount turbo's in LS1 F-Bodies though.
Edit: - Btw the LQ4 accessories / oil pan will not work. If I found an LQ4 long block that included all the sensors I needed for around $500 - $600 then I would bite.
What are the specs on the stock V6 fuel pump? reason I ask is, although everyone says you have to change it, I know a few people who didn't and did LS1 swaps and are running fine. What is the LPH and Pressure? Max HP they can sustain?

I need wiring harness suggestions - trying to avoid spending $700 - $800 on wiring...
I saw one for around $300 - 400 but can't remember where - also would a stand alone work if I deleted all emissions related stuff? (Gauges need to work, oil pressure, coolant, ect)
You could call Speartech to see if he can make you a harness.

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
