You have to use L36 intake for your TB to work.

what all should i use or replace when i go to use the l26 block, should i use the l26 cam and rollers and the l36 rods up to l36 heads, and i will probably just get all my l36 parts cleaned like intake heads and i will probably add a double roller

You bolt on your oil pan, intake manifold, front cover, all the accessories, and flexplate.

I used everything from my l26. All I swapped over was the oil pan, intakes, and accessories.

If I recall correctly everything as far as the internals are the same on the L36 / L26

I forgot to mention earlier, you have to use the F-Body oil filter deal because the one on the l26 makes the filter point down, and I also used the F-Body oil pickup tube (I can't remember what its called), inside the oil pan. I heard its a little longer than the l26 one.

Ya just use your oil pan, pick up an oil filter adapter. Use all your accessory but you can keep the l26 balancer. Flip the valve cover so the oil fill is on the pass side of the engine if you want to keep the l26 plastic ones. Use all the f body intake stuff, exhaust manifolds and flexplate.

Knock, cam an crank sensors are the same between the two as are the coils an icm. The icm bracket is different though.

Hope that helps, put an l26 in my 'bird almost a year or so ago now....

2005+ L26 have supposedly stronger powdered connecting rods. I've found a couple on car-part for $400 w/ 25k within pickup distance. Even if you don't need an engine that is cheap insurance since you can sell the accessories/intakes back off it. I'm tempted to get one but would need to find a place to store it.
