you don't need injectors. headers would be beneficial. do you have the old or new style exhaust manifolds. the newer flow pretty good, not as good as aftermarket but enough for rockers IMO, as far as the highflow cat... i dunno lol.. any of these mods sort of bottle neck without the rest, a high flow cat isn't going to be a big improvement with stock diameter exhaust pipes. i know i'm trying to sell you some but this is just an honest opinion. i would work on the heads in some way while you are pulling them anyway.
you will see more gains as the rest of the system gets unrestricted.
I think I might have to wait on the rockers. When I pulled the heads nether head gasket looked bad.I know something is wrong I did have clean oil and now its black and thinned out, and no antifreez in radiator. Going to take heads to machine shop today. I think now I got heads off its time for p/p and maybe valve job.
Did u have antifreeze in the radiator? Or just water? Does the oil smell like gas? Port and polish sounds like a good start to some power. Make sure to fix whatever the problem is before u warp good heads. And just lemme know. If u decide to get rockers.
I just bought this car maybe a month ago. The guy told me it had a small leak in head gasket. It had no signs of this though. So i change oil and keep an eye on the radiator fluid. well last week i smell something sweet. yep antifreeze. i check radiator its empty and oil is black and thin. but the thing is the gaskets were still good. this is the only place the 2 could mix right?
the only other place would be in your radiator if you had a oil cooler, but i doubt you do. but it's usually milky not just thinned. thinned makes me thinking of gas, smell it.
