Well in the little research I did last night, I won't need 22lbs to get my goal of 425. At least not on a built motor. 16 would probably for me just fine... and that gets rid of some of the intense machine work. Still going to do some, but nothing insane...
You talking about Injector size? My WS6 makes 450rwhp and I have to use 42lbers. I was maxing out the 36lbers and I am all motor!

Yep... I'm thinking with the plan set, mild mods to heads, new bearings and studs on the bottom, 1.7 rockers etc. On 16 lbs I should make ~520 at the crank.
Your bottom end could hold up but if you have some pricey heads then it might be worth it to build the bottom end just for the piece of mind. I blew up 2 stock 3.8 motors on a 125 shot, and the one piston I destroyed messed up my stock head. It tore up the combustion chamber, valves, cam. It wasnt pretty. On the stock motor with a 125 shot I made 313rwhp and 433ftlbs @ the wheels.

don't do the 6 speed first! your car will be pretty close to undrivable with stock power and the 6 speed without 4.10s in the rear. Even LT1's have no pull at the top of 5th and the entire 6th gear. do the gears and engine mods and then do Turbo and transmission. remember you're going to need a new ECM too from a manual transmission car so you may need to hold off on engine work till you do the Turbo and transmission or you will have to tune it twice.
Okay, might have found a kit for really cheap. Needs a few things. Not sure where to get AC delete plates, or a battery relocation kit. I can find the EGR modifications, and whatnot.

I deleted my ac recently. I just got a shorter belt, no need for ac delete plates
www.hawksthirdgenparts.com sells a/c delete plates for $100 You could probably save by making your own. Same goes for the battery relocate. You can just copy someones design.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
