Well I'll measure up a belt and whatnot when I pull it off. Got the evac machine at work too.
Also, the kit I was looking at is sold.. so back to making my own
meth allows you to run alot more timing than an intercooler alone would. you essentially are pulling more air in also since the air charge is cooler/more dense. its alot like running race gas. dont think you'll get to 15psi without knock without it atleast not running a good amount of timing. but i'm not 100%
So was it as easy as making a bowl of cereals? Evac freon and remove a/c? And have you felt an increase in the butt-dyno. I know this made a moderate difference on my 4cyl.
Yeah, it was real simple. Few 13mms, few 15mms, few 10mms. There's one 15mm hiding on the back pf the AC bracket, between the exhaust manifold and the block, that one sucked. Condenser and plastic around it made tons more airflow to the air filter, and all together it was probably 10-20 lbs. Evac was real easy... although I didn't do it the EPA friendly way. Screwdriver to the high pressure valve and a glove... lol.
Doc, have you thought about getting a tube K-member? Since you're doing the work yourself, it would help create a lot of room to route pipes and such. I can't rave enough about tube K-members..
Yeah, I probably will be. Since its getting either the motor pulled and rebuilt if I have another car, or a new motor built outside the car, I don't see why I would upgrade that with the rest of it. LCAs, torque arm, sfc, all that will be going in as well.
AK, I was pissed that there was rust underneath... now I gotta polish it off.

Heard its good to get the torque arm relocated off the tailshaft too... truth to that?
Yes that would be a good thing.

Probably will be a steady change from mostly stock to well built, but I'll get there; someday. First things first though, I am getting rid of the 4x4 stance and buying Strano springs, with sway bars/bushings. Those should be within a few weeks..
