I have a 1999 firebird v6. I found a used LS1 motor (complete engine with all front accessories, wiring harness, and computer) with 100,000 miles for $2200. The engine is still in his car and running good. Does that sound like a good deal? I would have to buy the tranny and some of the smaller stuff to finish the swap but I've seen people trying to sell other LS1 engines for about $3000. What do you guys think?

You can buy a 5.3L or 6L truck engine for less than a 1K.
It will have less miles and make just as much power.Last edited by transamtom1; 02-15-2014, 08:21 AM.
