Hi All I want to install an Autometer sport comp tach. I'm at a loss on where to run the wires....

I think the shift light is the same wiring, when I was a m5. I took the tach signal from the cam sensor, would have to look up which wire but theres only 3. I remember trying it from the pcm to get the signal and the car would die on me so I did the cam wire. Haynes manual has the diagram for which wire to tap into. What is the wiring you need? Power, ground and signal wire correct?

Should be in your instructions. I think Autometer has online instructions as well.
