Just pulled the cam on a 3.4 I'm tearing down to rebuild. It was running when I pulled it (barely). The lobes almost look galled. Are the grooves/channels in the block designed to direct oil back to the cam lobes? They look like that was the intent. What could be starving the cam for oil?
