  • fuel pumps/injectors and ported heads

man i hope this belongs in advanced ;)
with my ported heads i understand i now have more air going in. when i got the heads worked on i was not told to get a better fuel pump/injectors. i had the head work done by a decent respectable guy who i think would have told me "hey you should get a better fuel pump or injectors"
now this is my problem under WOT i tend to have some kind of loss of power. (i wont get into that) but i was told that maybe my fuel pump is not getting enough gas in to accomodate with all that air under WOT.
my question is:would an after market fuel pump get me more gas to the engine under WOT compared to my stock one not being able to do the job? would bigger injectors get more gas to the engine?

Well jsut like me when i go on the bottle i cant get engough fuel and i get upto 14 degrees of KR and slow me down alot. So i suggest that u go for it as far as injectors i dont think u need them unless u went with a blower i would go with injectors but i dont think u would need them otherwise.

slightly bigger injectors would help. maybe 24's or 26's. if u wanna get the pump, it might help, and u'd be able 2 support higher power levels later on. perhaps an adjustable fuel regulator or vortech fmu would help.

tom says i have to do a wide band dyno to tell if i really need the fuel pump.
