have you ever done this before? if not make sure you get help from someone who has. its not as simple as it seems. Hope it works out.

very good, you just need to be aware of what should be grinded down and what to stay away from but your probably on the right track. Dont expect the same gains you would get from PNP heads you would buy but you should see something. Also if you ever go FI you will thank yourself for doing your heads. good luck, you gotta post #'s when this is done.

Screw the summit P&P kit you will find it nearly useless on the small V6 ports.
It would be great if you were doing SBC or BBC heads.
I know when I get my pro top line 220cc runner SBC heads the kit will be great, I don't think I will use any dremal on it.
I used mine on the exhaust ports to leave a finish but even then some of the bits were to big.
I tried to use the buffing ones, I ruined one. The next one I steped on it to make it narrower and then they worked, but did not realy want to.
You will be better off with the carbide die grinding bits summit sells and a dremal with a good selection of bits.
All I needed was the short carbide cutters.
Don't let people tell you useing a dremal is a waste of time on these heads. Use the carbide cutters to do all of the metal removeing and use the dremal to leave the finish you want.
If you can find a P&P kit for little ports get it, and let me know where you got it because I would like one.
The dremal portion won't take long unless you want to leave a mirror finish on the combustion chambers like I did with my heads.
Just looked, I got the standard abrasives kit(not the best thing), not the summit. I did get the summit carbide cutters they are great.

i tried a carbide and it deemed to take too long. the sanding bits from the summit kit have been good for me, i just cant seem to reach deep into the port...

My suggestion is to stay away from the carbide bits since you have no experience porting heads. That is how you can get yourself into a bind because they pull a LOT more metal out a lot quicker than sanding rolls do. Just stick to sanding the heads out.

                      wickedsix is right about that.
Good carbide bits can tear out a lot of metal or do a lot of damage.
If your carbide cutters took to long there most likely worn out.
I have to use a face sheald and glasses or else I get a face and mouth full of metal shaveings. They go every where.

go here.... http://sa-motorsports.com/diyguide.shtm it is a company that sells abrasives kits that should include everything that you will need to port your heads. They also have a very informative do it yourself guide on how to port your head correctly.

Are you going to grind down the fins or leave them?

i'm not planning on getting aftermarket injectors, that'll probably be too rich, so i'm going to keep the fins, but i'm going to narrow them a bit.
