          yes i did...

figure on it costing at least 8 hours of labor at whatever your shop's labor rate is, then add fluids, gaskets, lifters, pushrods, rocker bolts, timing chain, etc. etc.

$0.00... Done by me and a couple freinds. Took half a weekend and working on it for a week after school. We did some more than the cam though.

Lowest quote I found was $750 with springs, I decided with a few freinds I could save the money.

                    Sh*t, I'm loosing it.

                    That was the clutch.

The cam was only $2 in asprin.

Where can u get a V6 cam kit for a 2000 bird? This is part of my list of things I wanted to complete, just couldnt find the stuff. Anyone?

I would think $500 - $750 is what you will be payin for that kinda work, I know they said that already, just sayin sounds reasonable.
                      2000 3800 II V6 Firebird<br />various small mods, bigger stuff later.

Everybody in my town is too scared of the law to even attempt an aftermarket cam install of any sort. That said I'm too stubborn to take my car to anybody anyhow, If I had done things perfectly my cam would have come out to $555 in parts. That was $300 for cam, $145 for lifters, $80 for timing chain kit, $30 for gaskets. But I am not so skilled, and in the process I also broke my timing cover ($62.50 used) and tensioner arm assembly ($135 new).
