www.mavness.com/zachcam.mp3

The cam is a 216/216 112ls 108ic Xtreme 4x4 cam from compcams.

Install went perfectly, with the exception of 2 parts breaking, a plastic elbow ($6) and the oil pressure sensor ($45) but that broke while trying to put the belt back on the car.

Cam does throw off an ses light. idles fine, sounds amazing, stock heads, stock pushrods, and the car hasnt quit on me once. first time starting the car it jumped to life with no problems. this is a great cam and i have had 0 problems with it so far. and the new powerband is AMAZING!

MEGA thanks to keith, he made the install possible. he = the man.

power gains are VERY noticeable, stock heads and springs. the lift is .507, this is why i went with the xtreme 4x4, because the lift isnt insane high, therefore you can use stock heads and pushrods and not break any valve seals. If i had milled heads i would have gotten an xtreme energy cam. and this is an NA cam but i cant wait to see how it does on the spray, i will be buying nitrous in a few months. i will make a page up about the cam install when i get some time, should be within the next few days.

That sounds awsome.
How do you think that cam would react to mildly ported heads and stock valvetrain?
Do you have a link to the lobe page you chose from, I really like that grind?

I can't wait to see your times.

Very nice! Was that mp3 recorded when the car was warming up? Reason I'm asking is it sounds exactly like my cam when the car is cold on startup.

Drive it around a few days and after it's good and warm I bet the idle will change on you to one big lope. It took my car a few weeks to learn the idle, computer was constantly searching for an idle.

Congrats! Cams rock.

Here is a link to my cam idle, you have to crank up the volume to hear it.
