That was done with DD2k based on my cam specs, displacement, head flow, cam timing, etc.

did someone mention me??

actually -- my post sounds harder than it really is. the whole thing took me -- working only weekends -- 2 weeks to put together. the hardest part is the fact that you have to change the pistons. all in all i think its worth it, as with the 3100 (thats a 3.1 folks) parts i dyno'd 170 rwhp / 207 rwtq with my cutout uncapped - 168 rwhp / 203 rwtq running thru my 3" catback w/flowmaster 3 chamber muffler all in all a nice gain over the 142 rwhp / 185 rwtq i had to start with.

anyhow -- really you can remove the EGR, i've done so and it really doesn't do anything to the car, other than raise some issues with California Smog Legality, you still have to remove the AIR pump and get a set of headers to make it all work, but thats not a huge issue either as the computer really doesnt give two @#$'s wether the AIR pump is there or not, nor does California (ive had it removed a while hasnt made a diff in emissions)

the biggest hurdle, is buying some steel joiners (the kind you use to join two pieces of wood) from Home De-pot or Lowes, whatever your choice is, and slicing them up to make some brackets to move the alternator over an inch.

i mean honestly i REALLY need to get under the hood and take some better pictures and do a full step-by-step demonstration of how to convert your paperweights...i mean iron heads, over to the aluminum ones.

thoes pics are helpful, however if you dont know what you are looking at they just look like random pictures, i know that i was lost on a lot of them until i had a 3X00 top end and looked it over and figured out what he was showing by the pictures

I was wondering what's the estamated cost of parts for this conversion? Looks like this mod is good for 25hp and 20tq and the 3.4 needs all the help it can get.

which mod is good for 25hp and 20tq.
my conversion to aluminum heads??

um. my rwdyno stock was 142 / 185 - my rwdyno after was 170 / 207. while thats all well and good, you arent considering the engine itself. all those numbers are rw. that means at the crank im doing 200hp/245tq (thats up from the stock 160-200). try 160->200hp and 200->245tq. more like 40hp and 45 tq ;) heheh

anyway. as for the estimated cost, well id say somewhere in the neighborhood of a grand to be safe. and a little fabrication time.

i can provide instructions, but as i did the car in a hurry, do not have step by step fabrication pics, sorry. email me for more info.
