    I am buying a cam and would like to know the difference between the two... which one is better? just need some help [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

      for a "normal" car with stock heads stick with a hydraulic. if your car is crazy like mine...I went ahead with a solid.

      Its just what type of lifters it uses. hydraulic lifters are alot more "user friendly" and can be daily driven better, solids require lots of attention and maintenance.

        hydraulic lifters don't ever have to be adjusted. solid lifters have to be adjusted every once in a while. sloid lifters don't require as much ramp-up on the cam, allowing for more aggresive profiles.

          its a pain in the butt to adjust valve lash in the middle of winter

              Thanks! i just ordered ny hydraulic baja beast cam from crower. I can't wait to get it.If anyone has any tips on the install they would be appreciated.Also should i port and polish my intake manifold while its off...Tips???
