Chill out a second. And don't forget this is advanced tech -- your question might fit well in the FI forum.

When do you realistically expect to have everything delivered, built, installed, and finished, aside from tuning, on your car? Honestly, realistically. There's a sense of urgency in your posts that I haven't understood -- I thought you were a F3 GP'er, and that you were having an engine built.

For the tuning, I would just slap on Autotap and start watching, then use an FMU (either adjustable or bleed a fixed one down) to fine tune things, along with bigger injectors if needed. Yes, it's sort of a bandaid. And yes, maybe nocutt will be against it ... and yes, you'd fair much better with tuning, a 2 bar MAF, DFI, etc., but I'd say check what's going on when you're ready to drive the car.

Edit: looking at your mod list, the MSD DIS-4 and BTM will serve you well.

well yes the motor is being biult and shold be in the shop before the 15th ofeb, i don;t only need a/f tuneing but my revlimts can go up too, need to turn fans to lower temp and everything.

but what about just using the MAF translater, to adjust? the fuel curve

Personally, if I were you, I would look into a FAST system or DFI.

You seem like you have a killer set up and might be limited... no, you will be limited by the stock PCM.

It can only be modified soooo much, even with FMU's, MAFT+'s, AFPR's etc.

I have held off on a cam due to wanting to get the BEST cam/ tuning possible.

MAFT or MAFT+ isnt gonna work very good on ur setup, all the MAFT does is make it richer or leaner through the whole fuel curve, w/the injectors your car will be either rich down low and lean up high or the other way around....BTW i just read what James said, the only options you have are the aftermarket systems...

umm how much do they run? so basiclaaly i won't need my stock PCM anymore with MSD doing the spark and a FAST or DFI fuel system? they just take over? and were can i find them

a dyno tune will not do the trick??

Sure it would... You can dyno all day long, but a tune would be hard to come by... They don't make the software.

Then you better explain to them that you have a V6 with a turbo kit, and not a V8. Most dynos probably expect you to have a typical V8, for which LT1 / tunercat / HP / LS1edit is freely (as in easily, not free) available.

FAST / DFI / TECII, etc, those don't exactly require tuning on a dyno. Many you can plug in, do a simple learn, and they will fire and run. You can then use a laptop to fine tune specific parameters, or run it on auto-learn given a specific goal (i.e. A/F ratio). A setup like that is maybe $1500 - $2000, compared to the 98+ tuning of , what, $500? In the end, it's not "that" much more, depending.

Big big big difference is that I can't imagine DFI providing OBD-II support for your local emissions shop.
