Dude you say dont bolt on a turbo "cause that's the ricer way" but later you said i should "slap" on a turbo for some big gains...make up ur mind
also...id really like to see you build a custom turbo since you dont like kits

I think he's saying that you should build the motor first and then put the turbo on so that you don't run into problems with the stock internals. I don't think he was knocking turbos, but just saying that you should do it right and build "from the ground up."
As far as power from heads and cam....use Desktop Dyno and throw some numbers in. You will be amazed and what you can get.

building a motor is not a bad idea, but then again I did get almost 400 hp/460 tq out of the stock shortblock with 100k miles on it. Still going [img]graemlins/rock.gif[/img]

Build the engine first then put on your power adder what ever it may be.
I like turbos more for small engiens and some big ones too, I like turbos because you can make you own. If I were ever to go forced induction on my Z28 I would have to say there would be a 90% chance of super charger. I would most likey get a "kit" but I would loose some of those cheap aluminum brackets I keep hearing about and make steel ones. http://www.cardomain.com/id/oil_pan_4
