Geez I totally forgot about this ... sorry folks. I'll still do it if the spot is available, I could put it on next weekend or so. Or when it's out I'll buy one!

Has anyone tested this intake spacer yet? Would this work with a cam install?

thing is the spacer has no slop to it. Our intake does. The runners (the thing that caries the air to the head. it should have the same angle as the runner and should be smoooth past that i think it would work good

I have been meaning to getting this installed... i will take some pictures of it when i get home so you can get a good look at what it actually is.

You do need longer bolts and thats what has kept me from installing it. I need to buy a set from GM and goto sears and pickup some that 1/2 inch longer that way i dont have to tear the car apart and then go hunt for pieces to put it back on.

Could the material be grinded or filed down to get a slope? How will not having a slope affect it?

Cheetah, is there any chance of you making these spacers for 3.4Ls?

Hello. I am also new here. I own a 99 Grand Prix GT with the N/A 3800. The spacer that Cheeta is showing looks ALOT like the ZZP spacer. Im not sure if there is much difference between the FWD and the RWD 3800, but it does make a difference. I ordered mine from Intense racing. They made longer bolts for the plenums so there is no vaccum leak like there was when the product came out and people were having problems. Hope this helps a bit, and I hope to help out more. Wanna learn as much as I can about my engine.

Wow I dont know how I missed this thread! This is great, I wish I could get my friggen offer letter from the job I applied to so I could start really modding my car. I think one important thing here is to really have a good dyno baseline. I had mine done when all I had was a flowmaster muffler only and had 175Hp and 232tq, I was gonna go today to get another baseline with all my current mods but I had my wisdom teeth removed and this percocet is really messing me up.
Good luck whoever is trying this! Wish I could sink some money into my car

What is the difference between the one intese sells part # Code: ZUI-361 and

this intake spacer in this thread from http://ww2.netnitco.net/users/cheetah/g3023.html

Also Blazzin' Joe, let us know when you get that installed, and if you can feel any difference?

Could you also let us know what size bolt is needed so we aren't chasin' parts as you said?
                    Thanks, <br />JAM<p>02 Firebird GT

Here is the one that ZZP makes.I got it from intense because they made the longer bolts for it. Im not sure if ZZP got some bolts to sell with it. It looks a bit different. Couldnt really tell you how much though since one looks computer generated, and the other is the real thing.

The ZZP etc, seems to be square intake holes. Aren't ours ovals?

                          yes ours are oval

here is a picture of our lower intake (its polished)

the spacer would go on the top of there and the upper intake would sit on top of it

see the need for it having a slope

THe ZZP insert is for the upper intake. Just below the plenum.

I just got an e-mail back from Cheeta. He said that you can get this in a custom thickness, and it would not have to be 1/2 inch thickness.

Does anyone think increasing the thickness is benificial? IF yes, how much should it be increased and why?
