• i'm soo pissed with zzperformance... what to do

so i get my "VS" CAM in the mail today...

    http://www.zzperformance.com/zzp/pro...ion_vs_cam.htm

    (link fixed)
you can see the specs... notice the total lift is

    .504

well my cam spec sheet from comp cam says...intake.512 exhaust.507

i'm like wtf.. i call zzperformance and ask what's the deal. they say it's a typo or there site might not be updated. the guy said zoomer runs this cam fine and he has stock springs.. reasson i'm pissed is cause i don't want to change anything but the cam... can i keep my stock springs still. i thought with .510 or more yuo need to upgrade yuor springs..

am i overreacting.. i just think this is bad business..

hmm.... I never looked at my spec sheet from comp cams. But I did look up the lobe # on there website and comp cams website said .506 and zzp's website said .507. But I was changing valve springs anyways.

.512 is so minute over .507.. if you would be ok with .507 you'll be fine with .512

jersey--are you planning to supercharge soon?

i emailed ZZ a while back, he said the VS cam wasn't a good choice for the 3.8 NA. i'm sure people will argue with me, but i swear the guy said that. i will go find the email right now...

supercharger is very possible , but i got this cam for 100 shot of juice. i spoke with zz many times before i got this cam and i will see n/a gain, just not as much, but i think it will love the nitrous.. i'm getting the car dynoed march 1st and i'll post the results.. i'm taking gamble, but i think i'll like it. if not i'll pull it out and put a different one in.. ;)

yea i like the edge... i haven't really gotten on it yet. i did spray a 75 shot at a redlight and my car went sideways , but yea i can "light them up" very easily and my 3rd gear has a stronger pull..i'm happy :D

i'm very happy with the carbon fiber stuff inside

It will like nitrous but i think you'd be better off with a 212/216 113LS 109IC.

I had dominic run his desktop dyno on the GT cam and the VS cams. he said that the ginas were similar between the two. I figure it is because the Gt cam has less lift than the VS cam, even though the lobe separation on the Gt cam is smaller.

The comp cams spec sheet that came w/ my GT cam was right on with the specs listed on their website.

I'm not very fond of any of the cams zzperformance offers for the 3.8L NA - and this is not just due to what dd2k says.
