Price to install a cam?

Does anybody now how much it cost to have a cam installed? After hearing camaro_zach camaro after he put a cam in, it made me want one. It's hard to tell his camaro is a V6 at idle.

i've seen 600-1000 for a cam install. depends who u take it to and if u have hook ups.

I was quoted $400 from a friend of a friend. I supply mechanic all the parts.
