I have been overhauling a 3.4 for my firebird. I am completely reworking the valvetrain and to my surprise, I can find no companies that make aftermarket valves for this engine. I found everything else I need except the valves. I do not want to reuse the stock ones. It would seem like a waste. If anyone can shed some light on this, I would be extremely grateful.
Jim
There are no aftermarket valves available for the 3.4L V6. You can have Manley make custom ones for you. Larger valves really don't produce much more power and for the price that you would have to pay to get the valves done. When you have your heads ported and polished, have the machine shop do a 3-angle valve job and you will be fine.

Nick Norris from NRT tested (flowbench) larger valves with James Montigny's original engine. there wasnt much gain to be found. ask Tiago he'll back me up on this.
Thanks for the replies guys. The only reason I want to valves is because I prefer stainless over stock. I wasn't planning on going with bigger valves, there is just no room.
Jim
a company called ferrea makes some aftermarket valves for the 3.4. i guess they are very good in comparison to the manley's. you can get the with undercut stems, hollow stems, and some other quality stuff.ill take 'em!!!!

Ferrea valves are very good. I don't know how I would compare them to Manley, but they are nice. I sell Ferrea's for the LS1 but wasn't aware that they made them for the 3.4L V6. I am sure that if all you wanted was stainless steel valves, Manley could custom cut some for you when given the correct dimenstions. If you wanted to go really radical, you could also go with titanium valves from Manley($$$).
