  • LS1 Valve springs??

Was told somewhere that LS1 valve springs could be used when buying new ones.. This true? cause I got a price of a whopping 25 bucks for new ones from GM... Will drastically reduce my cost of the new parts I have on tap... they are good for over .55 lift...

Yes stock shaped LS1 valve springs work. What GM springs did you get new for 25 bucks?

    According to Tbyrne:
stock ls1 are good to .525
    01 LS6 .540
    02 LS6 .600
    SLP .610

So what cam are you going to be running with these springs? I wouldnt recomend going all the way up to .525 lift.

yes but what is the spring rate on them, my cam has fast ramps and low lift, so i need strong springs, not ones that can support a high lift. does anyone know what the spring rate for the ls1 springs are?
